viento solar puede fluir a través de
esta abertura y "cargar" la

poderosas tormentas geomagnéticas.
Sin embargo, la grieta en sí misma

Crop circle accurately
predicts solar storms |
| |
Examiner.com - USA - Dr. Michael
Salla |
| |
The
Solar Heliospheric Observatory
(SOHO) confirms that on July 6,
2009, a very large Coronal Mass
Ejection (CME) was emitted by the
sun. This was followed by what
appears to be a smaller CME being
emitted by a solar flare on the
morning of July 7, and another large
CME emitted on July 8.
The
CMEs are partial confirmation for a
coded prediction found in a crop
circle discovered in Milk Hill
England that evolved in
three stages from June 21 to 30.
The CMEs were captured by the SOHO
satellite which is one million miles
away from the Earth in the direction
of the sun. Located in a stationary
equilibrium point between the
gravity of the sun and the Earth
called a Lagrangian point, SOHO has
a number of scientific instruments
to monitor the sun’s behavior. The
CMEs do not appear to be part of a
series headed towards the Earth as
initial interpretations of the
coded crop circle message suggested.
The
emergence of the CMEs is, however, a
remarkable development since it came
right on the July 6/7 lunar eclipse
prediction date. |

The Sun is Acting Strangely
Again |
| |
Prison Planet Forum - Monday,
July 6, 2009 |
| |
Notice the bright spot in the
southern hemisphere of the sun. That
is a sun spot and is forming into a
class B solar Flare. Not a real big
deal on the whole of it. That spot
is interesting enough but what you
need to pay attention to is the dark
area in the northern hemisphere of
the sun. That is a sign for an
impending solar storm. At present
it is being reported that this storm
will miss the earth. I have been
watching that area of the sun for
the last 2 days and with the recent
reports from the space weather
people on this area now also I am a
bit concerned. Also with reports at
www.abovetopsecret.com from some
of the sun bathers that the suns
effects are “weird” or “strange”. To
include reports of sun burns or
tanning occurring faster then
normal and people that say they
never burn only tan actually getting
burns instead of Tans. I have
checked locally with a few sun
worshiping tanners and they seem to
confirm these reports. The Ladies
at the pool have been complaining of
sun burns in places that they never
burn. There has been in fact much
talk about this around the pool. |

Russians order Flight Changes, after
Massive Magnetic Shift downs
Airliners... |
| |
MINA
Macedonian International News Agency
- 1 de Julio 2009 |
| |
Reports
circulating in the Kremlin today are
saying that Russian Air Force
Commanders have issued warnings to
all of their aircraft to exercise
“extreme caution” during flights “in
and around” an area defined as...
Though Western scientist assert that
the formation of this new ocean is
not likely to be finished for
millions of years, Russian
scientists state, unequivocally,
that due to the Suns current
unprecedented Deep Solar Minimum,
our Earth is in danger of being,
literally, “ripped apart”, at the
worst, or nearing a “total pole
reversal” due to an as yet
unexplained, but extremely powerful,
gravitational force emanating from
the outer reaches of our Solar
System that some researchers state
is the mysterious Planet X, and
which many believe to be a large
brown dwarf and known to the ancient
peoples of Earth as Nibiru, and
called by the name of Wormwood in
the Christian Bible. |

What's going on with the sun? |
| |
Ely Daily Times - Ely, NV, USA - 18 de
Junio |
| |
"Even a below-average cycle is
capable of producing severe space
weather," Biesecker warned. "The
great geomagnetic storm of 1859, for
instance, occurred during a solar
cycle of about the same size we're
predicting for 2013." That 1859
storm was known as the "Carrington
Event" after astronomer Richard
Carrington who saw the erupting
solar flare. Once the outburst
struck the earth, it electrified
telegraph cables and caused fires in
the telegraphers' offices. The
accompanying Northern Lights were
allegedly so bright, people were
able to read newspapers by their
light alone. According to the NASA
release, “A recent report by the
National Academy of Sciences found
that if a similar storm occurred
today, it could cause 1 to 2
trillion dollars in damages to
society's high-tech infrastructure
and require four to 10 years for
complete recovery.” |

Magnetic field and electric grid
collapse – the New Energy imperative |
| |
OpEdNews - Newtown, PA, USA - 9 de
Junio |
| |
One of
the major puzzles facing space
weather scientists is the Earth’s
weakening magnetic field. As the
magnetic field weakens, so too does
the Earth’s natural defense against
harmful solar and cosmic radiation.
In
December 2008, NASA scientists
discovered a huge breach in the
Earth’s magnetic field that was far
larger than anything observed
previously. The weakening magnetic
field and emergence of giant
breaches will allow far more solar
energy to enter into the Earth’s
atmosphere than anytime in known
history. As this happens, the
planet’s electric power grid systems
could face systemic collapse. Space
Weather scientists have been
convening workshops and
issuing reports on the prospects
of electric grid collapse from
severe solar storms. As the
magnetic field continues to weaken,
introducing independent off-the grid
energy systems using renewable
energy sources as a lifeline for
humanity becomes an imperative.
Among the least understood
but potentially most beneficial
sources of renewable energy are “new
energy” technologies. |

10 Most Incredible Solar Flares
Captured In Pictures |
| |
Environmental Graffiti - London,
England, UK - 15 Mayo |
| |
Solar flares are like the Sun’s
equivalents of Earth’s natural
hazards, though of course they
occur on a much larger scale. It
would be nice to say such
phenomena have minimal impact on
the environment or life on
Earth, but
solar
flares
do strongly influence our local
space weather, and produce
streams of highly energetic
particles in solar wind that can
pose radiation risks to
astronauts. Who knows what a
biggie could do? While we wait
for the answer, trying not to
put the words “mass” and
extinction” together, don your
protective glasses and prepare
for some dazzling images of
solar eruptions – like the limb
flare above.

Solar storms ahead: Is Earth
prepared? |
| |
WREX-TV - Rockford, IL, USA - 13 de
Mayo |
| |
When we look at the sun (carefully),
it appears to be a uniform,
unchanging star. But scientists
and engineers have a much
different perspective. To them,
the sun is a dynamic, chaotic,
and poorly understood caldron of
thermonuclear forces, one that
can spit out fierce bursts of
radiation at any time. And when
Earth lies in the path of that
blast, the flare can play havoc
with power grids, disrupt radio
communications, and disturb or
disable satellites. Fifty years
into the Space Age, Earth has
avoided the worst the sun can
deliver - so far.

Cyberspies or solar storms - the
real threat to US electrical grid |
| |
Examiner.com - Dr. Michael Salla - 9
de Abril |
| |
On
April 8,
a front page article was
published in the Wall Street
Journal on the dangers posed by
cyberspies to the U.S.
electrical grid. According to
senior intelligence officers who
spoke with the Journal,
“Cyberspies have penetrated the
U.S. electrical grid and left
behind software programs that
could be used to disrupt the
system.” No action has been
taken so far to disrupt the
electrical grid by China, Russia
and other involved countries. In
a time of war or national
crisis, however, the electrical
grid could be severely disrupted
by foreign entities disrupting
the electrical grid through the
internet. The possibility of
cyber attacks is considered
very real by some sources.
Missing entirely from the Wall
Street Journal article, however,
was any mention of a more likely
threat to the electrical grid. A
threat that led a prestigious
panel of scientists with the
National Research Council
issuing
a report in January 2009
warning of a catastrophic
electrical grid failure – giant
solar storms around 2012..

El Sol ha entrado en un extraño
periodo de quietud, dice la NASA |
| |
TeleCinco - 2 de abril del 2009 |
| |
La
agencia espacial estadounidense
NASA detectó que el Sol ha
entrado en un extraño proceso de
quietud, con una ausencia de
manchas en su superficie, y de
intensidad en las llamaradas y
las tormentas, según informa en
su página web. La NASA había
indicado en septiembre pasado
que la presión promedio del
viento solar -el torrente de
partículas cargadas que embate
la atmósfera terrestre y empuja
los rayos cósmicos hacia los
lindes del sistema planetaria-
había caído un 20 por ciento
desde mediados de la década de
1990. El astrónomo alemán
Heinrich Schwabe determinó a
mediados del siglo XIX que los
ciclos se cumplían con bastante
regularidad cada 11 años, y eso
ha continuado así durante más de
200 años. Pero este año las
bajas han sido tan persistentes
como las del mercado de valores.
Y aunque los expertos creían que
se había tocado fondo en 2008,
las gráficas han seguido
cayendo. En todo el año 2008 no
se observaron manchas solares
durante 266 días, esto es el 73
por ciento del período, y por
ello los expertos creyeron que
el ciclo tocaba fondo y
empezaría a reactivarse.

Científicos esperan que en 2012 la
tierra reciba tormentas solares |
| |
Ciudadano - 2 de abril del 2009 |
| |
ASTRONOMÍA. Científicos
norteamericanos advirtieron hace
poco que el globo terráqueo
sufriría en 2012 una poderosa
tormenta solar, cuya capacidad
devastadora sería mucho mayor a
la que tuvo el huracán Katrina,
y ningún ser humano se escaparía
apenas a su impacto
catastrófico. A medianoche del
22 de septiembre de 2012
aparecería un telón óptico
colorido en el cielo sobre
Manhattan, en Nueva York,
Estados Unidos. En la región
sureña como esta ciudad, pocas
personas podrían ver este
fenómeno fascinante de aurora
polar. Sin embargo, el
sentimiento agradable de la
gente, generado de la
contemplación de esta escena
maravillosa, no duraría mucho,
pues varios segundos después los
focos eléctricos de esta zona
empezarían a oscurecer y
centellear y, de repente, volver
a relucir de manera
extraordinariamente brillante.
Acto seguido, sucedería un
apagón general.

2012 may bring the “perfect storm” –
solar flares, systems collapse |
| |
Examiner.com - Alfred Webre - 1 de
Abril |
| |
Long
scorned as “mysticism” and “parascience,”
concern about the year 2012 has
now surfaced in a mainstream
NASA report on the potential
impacts on human society of
solar flares anticipated to peak
in 2012. The Obama
administration and other
national governments are not
aggressively focused on
contingency preparations for the
2012 solar flare impacts, or on
introducing available anti-gravitic,
new energy sources that would
transform centralized high-power
electrical grid systems into de-centralized,
anti-gravitic and quantum
process energy sources. These
new energy sources are less
vulnerable to destructive solar
storms, have no negative
environmental impact, and could
unleash unprecedented economic
and social transformation.

Electrical power grid to be blasted
by 2012 solar storms |
| |
Examiner.com - Dr. Michael Salla -
27 de Marzo |
| |
A report issued by the
National Research Council (NRC)
in January 2009 has warned of
the far reaching consequences of
a solar storm hitting the Earth
as the sun becomes more active
during solar cycle 24 which
began in 2008 and peaks around
2012. A
March 23 article in the New
Scientist discussed the
significance of the NRC report
which details how a solar storm
could wipe out the electrical
power grid causing massive
disruption in the U.S. and
around the planet. The impact
of the plasma energy directly
bombarding the Earth during a
solar storm could lead to
electrical power stations being
off line for weeks and months at
a time, as overworked workers
try to repair badly damaged
electrical equipment.
According to the NRC report,
this would lead to “disruption
of the transportation,
communication, banking, and
finance systems, and government
services; the breakdown of the
distribution of potable water
owing to pump failure; and the
loss of perishable foods and
medications because of lack of
refrigeration.” Imagine
life without running water from
a tap, no refrigeration for
storing food, gas for your car,
or mass transit due to the power
grid being off line for months.
Millions of Americans
could subsequently die in such a
scenario described by Michael
Brooks author of the New
Scientist article, “Space
storm alert: 90 seconds from
catastrophe.” Such
disturbing scenarios are very
possible according to the
National Research Council report.
Now is the right time for bold
action to replace the outdated
electrical power grid with a
decentralized form of fuelless
or 'new energy' generators that
can be mass produced for homes,
small businesses and essential
services.

Space storm alert: 90 seconds from
catastrophe |
| |
NewScientist - Space - 23 de Marzo
del 2009 |
| |
Surely the sun couldn't create
so profound a disaster on Earth.
Yet an extraordinary
report funded by NASA and
issued by the US National
Academy of Sciences (NAS) in
January this year claims it
could do just that. Over the
last few decades, western
civilisations have busily sown
the seeds of their own
destruction. Our modern way of
life, with its reliance on
technology, has unwittingly
exposed us to an extraordinary
danger: plasma balls spewed from
the surface of the sun could
wipe out our power grids, with
catastrophic consequences. The
projections of just how
catastrophic make chilling
reading. "We're moving closer
and closer to the edge of a
possible disaster," says Daniel
Baker, a space weather expert
based at the University of
Colorado in Boulder, and chair
of the NAS committee responsible
for the report.

2012: No habrá llamarada solar
asesina |
| |
Astro
Web - 30 de Agosto 2008 |
| |
Podríamos estar en medio de un
descomunal espectáculo de fuegos
artificiales en 2012. El Sol se
aproximará a su pico en el ciclo
de 11 años, conocido como
“máximo solar”, por lo que es de
esperar una gran actividad en el
Sol. Algunas predicciones
colocan el máximo del Ciclo
Solar 24 como más energético que
los últimos máximos solares de
2002 y 2003 (¿recuerdas todas
esas llamaradas de clase X
batiendo los registros?). Los
físicos solares están
entusiasmados con este nuevo
ciclo y los nuevos métodos de
predicción se están poniendo en
uso. ¿Deberíamos preocuparnos?
De acuerdo con uno de los muchos
escenarios apocalípticos que
hemos presentado anteriormente
en el final del mundo basado en
las profecías mayas para el año
2012, éste en realidad tiene
algo de base científica. Es más,
puede existir cierta correlación
entre el ciclo solar de 11 años
y los ciclos temporales vistos
en el calendario maya, ¿tal vez
esta antigua civilización
comprendió cómo el magnetismo
del Sol sufre cambios de
polaridad cada década
aproximadamente? Además, los
textos religiosos (tales como la
Biblia) dicen que en el día del
Juicio Final implicará una gran
cantidad de fuego y azufre. ¡Por
lo que parece, vamos a quedar
asados vivos por nuestra propia
estrella el 21 de diciembre de
2012!

Is a 'Katrina-Like' Space Storm
Brewing? |

U.S.
scientists worry we aren't ready
for a solar space storm that
could knock out our electricity,
our cell phones, even our water
supply. The chances of that
happening are small, but it is a
possibility as we move into an
active period of solar storms.
How do they know? Well, it's
happened before. Back in 1859, a
solar eruption resulted in
telegraph wires burning up.

Alerta sobre Tormenta Solar |
| |
Science
from NASA - 10 de Marzo 2003 |
| |
La
noticia esta confirmada: el
Mínimo Solar ha llegado. Las
manchas solares han
desaparecido. No hay llamaradas
solares. El Sol se encuentra
tranquilo. Como la calma antes
de la tormenta. Esta semana un
grupo de investigadores anunció
que una tormenta viene
en camino —la más intensa
durante un mínimo solar en
cincuenta años. La predicción
fue hecha por el equipo dirigido
por Mausumi Dikpati del Centro
Nacional de Investigaciones
Atmosféricas (National Center
for Atmospheric Research ó NCAR).
"El siguiente ciclo solar será
de un 30 a un 50% más intenso
que el anterior", dice ella. Si
esto es correcto, en los
próximos años se producirá un
estallido de actividad solar
apenas menor que el del
histórico máximo solar de 1958.

Solar Superstorm |
| |
Science
from NASA - 23 de Oct. 2003 |
| |
Newly uncovered scientific data
of recorded history's most
massive space storm is helping a
NASA scientist investigate its
intensity and the probability
that what occurred on Earth and
in the heavens almost a century-and-a-half
ago could happen again. In
scientific circles where solar
flares, magnetic storms and
other unique solar events are
discussed, the occurrences of
September 1-2, 1859, are the
star stuff of legend. Even 144
years ago, many of Earth's
inhabitants realized something
momentous had just occurred.
Within hours, telegraph wires in
both the United States and
Europe spontaneously shorted
out, causing numerous fires,
while the Northern Lights,
solar-induced phenomena more
closely associated with regions
near Earth's North Pole, were
documented as far south as Rome,
Havana and Hawaii, with similar
effects at the South Pole.
