The Ministry of Defense (MoD) to open British UFO X-files

Japan's chief government spokesman has announced that unidentified flying objects (UFOs) exist. Earlier, in response to a question from an opposition lawmaker, the Japanese government issued a statement saying it could not confirm any cases of UFOs. But Chief Cabinet Secretary Nobutaka Machimura later told reporters he believed they were "definitely" real. It is the sort of question politicians dread but, under Japanese rules, are unable to ignore. A member of the opposition asked the government what its policy was to deal with UFOs. He said work should begin urgently to try to confirm whether or not they exist because of what he called "incessant" reports of sightings.

Machimura, que fue ministro de Exteriores durante el mandato de Junichiro Koizumi, también expresó sus dudas sobre la conveniencia de hacer esta declaración. El comentario surgió como consecuencia de una interpelación realizada por un diputado de la oposición pidiendo que se realizase una investigación "dados los incesantes informes de avistamientos de ovnis". El Gabinete japonés respondió con una declaración en la que se decía que no había evidencias sobre su aparición. Pero Machimura quiso completar la declaración oficial con una opinión personal. Ante los periodistas reunidos en una rueda de prensa convocada para explicar asuntos corrientes dijo que "el Gobierno sólo puede ofrecer una respuesta estereotipada", pero que "personalmente, definitivamente creo que existen". Luego agregó que "no debería hablar mas."

Entonces tuvo lugar el inexplicable episodio que dejó asombrados a Luis Bracamonte, teniente primero efectivo en Oriente y Osvaldo Orellano, subteniente de la misma dependencia. Estos se hallaban en un procedimiento de rutina cuando pasada una hora y media de la medianoche, Orellano se bajó del móvil para realizar tareas de reconocimiento, mientras Bracamonte permanecía en la camioneta.

Presidential UFO's - Ronald Reagan to back Kucinich?

Presidential candidate Dennis J. Kucinich came right out and admitted; - that he had not only seen one of them - but asserted that more people in USA have seen a UFO than approve a GW Bush Presidency. That, and it was time for the government to "come clean" on the Roswell matter. UFO's are not something that most people are used to seeing. Those who do report them are often subjected to ridicule and scorn. So in my opinion there is something quite refreshing in politics if a politician is prepared to risk his credibility over a subject usually lampooned by the press and TV, over a subject seeming to be already primed to explode in his face.

BOSTON (CBS) ― Do you believe in unidentified flying objects -- UFOs? A third of Americans do. One in seven claims to have seen one. And that group includes a presidential candidate. A lot of voters might find this the most believable claim they've heard in this race. But while politicians may laugh at UFO sightings, millions of Americans apparently aren't in on the joke. 34 percent of Americans say they believe in ghosts, according to a pre-Halloween poll by The Associated Press and Ipsos. That's the same proportion who believe in unidentified flying objects - or UFOs- exceeding the 19 percent who accept the existence of spells or witchcraft.

A TOP UK government official admitted the existence of UFOs in a secret document about a dramatic sighting. The Ministry of Defence boss made the astonishing claim after dozens of eyewitnesses reported a "hovering" flying saucer in the skies in Shropshire. His confidential report features in a new book by Timothy Good, who is regarded as a world expert on alien phenomena. Good's book, Need To Know, features previously secret government papers about UFO sightings which have taken place around the world. A whole section is devoted to a mystery craft which "shot beams of light" near RAF Shawbury, Shropshire, in the early hours of March 31, 1993. It had earlier been spotted in the skies above Devon, Cornwall and South Wales.

Aloha and welcome to this website which I launched on January 20, 2003 to coincide with Martin Luther King Day in the USA. At the time, I was a "Researcher in Residence" with the Center for Global Peace, American University, Washington D.C. Impressed by the May 2001 Disclosure Project Press Conference, I decided to begin researching evidence concerning an undisclosed extraterrestrial presence. After writing an article outlining my research findings, "The Need for Exopolitics: Implications of Conspiracy Theories of Policy Makers and Global Peace," I was told that my exopolitics research had "no place either within the Center for Global Peace or American University." Officially discouraged from publishing my exopolitics reseach on my former academic website, I therefore started the Exopolitics.Org website as a place that could host my exopolitics research. My exopolitics research gradually gained the attention of the mainstream press, and this culminated in retaliation by my academic superiors at American University. My "Peace Amabassador program" was summarily terminated in April 2004, and I was told my academic position would not be renewed in August 2004.

Neil Armstrong was not the first being on the moon. That, at any rate, is the position of the suitably sci-fi sounding Project Disclosure that launched a campaign in Washington on Wednesday. It is aimed at persuading the US Congress to hold hearings on the existence of unidentified flying objects and extra-terrestrials. The campaign believes the US Government has known about the existence of UFOs for over 50 years but has been trying to hide it.  It was surely the strangest ever news conference hosted by Washington's august National Press Club. Donna Hare was just one of over 20 witnesses, most of them ex-military, and all deadly serious. Among them was former Army Sergeant, Clifford Stone, who said the US Government had tried to suppress what he had seen one strange day in Pennsylvania, back in 1969. "I was involved in situations where we actually did recoveries of crashed saucers. There were bodies that were involved with some of these crashes. Also some of these were alive," he said.
